The Challenge
Biometria faced the urgent need to train thousands of internal and external users ahead of the nationwide transition from VIOL 2 to the new VIOL 3 system — a shift affecting every company in the Swedish forest industry, from forest owners and haulage firms to mills, terminals and service providers.

The Solution
To meet the enormous training demand created by the transition to VIOL 3, Biometria turned to Totara Learn as a flexible, scalable platform capable of supporting both internal and external audiences across the forest industry. As part of the rollout, Biometria worked with Aleido, their Totara solution provider, to ensure the platform’s configuration and support aligned with their needs.

Totara enabled Biometria to deliver structured e-learning, assessments and reporting within one unified system. Audience management, tailored dashboards and automated enrolment logic allowed Biometria to create role-specific learning paths — for timber measurers, drivers, administrators and production staff — ensuring users received only the training relevant to their responsibilities in VIOL 3.
