Fresenius Medical Care innovates product education with Totara Learn

Fresenius Medical Care North America (FMCNA) is part of the world’s leading provider of products and services for people with chronic kidney failure. Their guiding principle is ‘patients first’, providing comprehensive care and innovative solutions that are redefining healthcare.

The Challenge

Education is key to achieving FMCNA’s mission. In the FMCNA Home Therapies group this includes providing healthcare practitioners with the tools to safely and effectively manage dialysis products when treating patients.

But FMCNA Home Therapies had no formalized, coordinated, online product education. Training was offline, paper-based and decentralized. Improved training would directly benefit patient care, patient product engagement, customer relationships and product sales capabilities.

The Solution

Totara partner MindQuest Learning developed a custom product education and training portal website, powered by Totara’s uniquely flexible platform, to educate practitioners and patients and be adaptable to changing requirements.

This custom training portal is effectively a front-end for the full Totara Learn LMS, leveraging Totara’s features in a solution tailored for FMCNA and their learners. It delivers the training features needed in exactly the way preferred.
