Totara has won two 2021 Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards for their work with Deloitte Belgium and their own Totara Community.
Deloitte Belgium’s use of Totara Learn earned them a Gold award in the Best Unique or Innovative Learning and Development Program category, while the Totara Community picked up a Bronze award in the Best Customer Training Program category.
The Deloitte Belgium project saw them using Totara Learn to create a Netflix-inspired learning platform to engage their accountants. The program, The Client, gives accountants the soft and hard skills they need to create a truly client-centric service. High-quality multimedia content, a strong, consistent theme and personalized, data-driven learning is changing the way that accountants work with their clients, and this unique approach resonated with the Brandon Hall Group judging panel.
The Totara Community‘s Bronze award followed its significant relaunch in 2018. Since then, users have more than doubled, and customer underutilization rates have been slashed. This is thanks to the robust blended learning approach, comprising structured e-learning courses and programs, live webinars with learning experts, forums, collaborative workspaces and certifications. This is freely available to all Totara Partners and users, allowing everyone to maximize the value of their Totara platform.
Louise Vancollenberghe, Senior Learning Specialist at Deloitte Belgium, said: “Effective learning transfer is a complex challenge, situated at the crossroads of learning objectives, learning content and learning formats for a specific target audience. We want to get the learner from A to B in terms of mindset, skills and knowledge.
Totara Learn serves as our companion. It supports self-directed learning by hosting multimedia content modules, including coach and sponsor perspectives and access to external resources, self-guided activities and progress tracking mechanisms. Secondly, it supports learners in sharing experiences, reflecting on learning, and socializing success stories through discussion forums and interactive exercises.”
Rachel Griffith-Boyes, Head of Community Services for the Totara Community, said: “We are delighted to have won this Brandon Hall Award. Enabling our partners and customers to get the most out of their Totara products is our number one priority – whether that’s delivering their own world-class training, engaging their teams through user-generated content or implementing effective, modern performance management practices – so to be recognized for that is fantastic. This award is testament to our talented and committed Totara team and our network of engaged users who make the Totara Community the place it is.”
The Brandon Hall Group Awards recognize the best organizations that have successfully deployed programs, strategies, processes, systems and tools that have achieved measurable results. The awards attract entrants from leading corporations around the world, as well as mid-market and smaller firms.
These two awards follow two 2020 Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Technology Award wins for Totara. Totara Engage scooped a Gold award in the Best Advance in Employee Engagement Technology category, while the Totara Talent Experience Platform won a Bronze award in the Best Advance in Emerging Talent Management Technology category.
