Klimaschutzakademie is using Totara to help its customers achieve their climate neutrality goals

Klimaschutzakademie (EN: “Climate protection academy”) Is a start-up that provides companies with the necessary knowledge and training on their path to climate neutrality – flexibly and in accordance with their resources. They want to quickly reach as many companies as possible and help them achieve the climate goals demanded by science and set by politics while remaining competitive businesses.

The Challenge

Talking to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), it became clear to the Klimaschutzakademie team that there is little knowledge about the binding climate targets for companies set by the industry and governments. To close this knowledge gap, the team started to provide training to these companies. However, in a small country like Austria alone (and the German speaking countries), there are hundreds of SMEs – presenting the team with the challenge of reaching and educating a large number of companies in a feasible and scalable way. In search of a platform through which they can provide their (blended-)learning measures Klimaschutzakademie came across LearnChamp and selected Totara as their platform of choice.

The Solution

The basis for the turnaround – in this case towards a climate-neutral but competitive business/company – is knowledge. This must be science-based, practice-oriented and presented in a way that is appropriate for the target group. Every company should be able to take its path to climate neutrality as quickly as possible.

Small and medium-sized enterprises rarely have the resources – be it time, money or human resources – to engage in elaborate advisory services. Klimaschutzakademie has therefore structured their training courses and the online campus on the basis of modules in order to give their target group the freedom they need in their everyday work. As a company or organisation, you can put together your own programme according to your interests, time and available resources.

Furthermore, it was their concern to quickly scale the knowledge transfer. With their training module for management consultants, they want to provide multipliers with sound expertise. In this way, they not only expand their portfolio, but also spread the knowledge as fast and far as possible. In this way, Klimaschutzakademie can jointly reach more and more companies, which in turn can quickly implement their climate neutrality strategy.

  • Totara’s easy onboarding for administrators and trainers provided the perfect fit for a start-up like the Klimaschutzakademie team with an implementation time of only 4 weeks.
  • Easy-access and user-friendly platform based on Totara Learn called the online campus. It offers science-based facts broken down and prepared for businesses, interactive learning opportunities with focus on implementation in everyday business and relevance for organisations, and specific contents for selected target groups and tailored to sectors and through Totara’s own audience-based visibility. Available anytime and anywhere to their SME customers.

  • SEMINARS (integrated with MS Teams): All upcoming live training courses are listed in the seminar catalogue, providing opportunities for specialist inputs and interactive exchange. Customers can register for the seminars directly via the platform and will find accompanying documents and forums.
  • E-LEARNING: E-Learning courses on the platform allow their customers to acquire basic knowledge on climate change at their own pace. Chapter by chapter, they guide you through facts, impacts and practical solutions for businesses.

  • The knowledge library provides customers with explanations of terms, technical inputs and expert interviews. Tools such as manuals and checklists support you with concrete measures. Insights articles give you insights into a wide range of topics. All this information is provided within Totara courses using the vast possibilities of embedding different resources like videos, links, PDFs, etc.

 

 

  • Klimaschutzakademie trains multipliers who support organisations on the path to climate neutrality. So that as many companies as possible make a sustainable difference and achieve the climate goals set by science and politics.
